After graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston University, and receiving his master’s degree in government from Georgetown University, Attorney Gil Hoy graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1984. Attorney Hoy began his legal career as a trial lawyer, practicing law at top national law firms in Chicago, on Wall Street in New York City, and then in Boston’s Financial District. Hoy grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts.
In 1995, Attorney Hoy decided to move away from representing big businesses, the major clients of national law firms. Instead, he wanted to establish his own practice, with the decided focus of representing individuals who had sustained serious injury, through no fault of their own, in Massachusetts personal injury litigation.
