A California construction worker, whose name has not yet been released, was injured on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 when a crane fell off the edge of a wall at a construction site in West Hollywood.
After toppling over the wall, the base of the crane came to a rest, suspended upside-down against the top of the wall and supported from the ground by its boom.
LA Fire Department officials were called to the scene, and the worker, who was apparently operating the crane at the time, was taken to the hospital with a serious leg injury.
Lanes on a nearby road were closed while fire-rescue crews dealt with the situation.
